Grant Funding

  • Our grant programs are designed to provide resources to our partner organizations as they work to build collaboratively designed educational and psychosocial support programs.

All our grants will be "hybrid grants" that combine financial contributions with donated services, which will include our staff and volunteer support of collaborative projects.

We are currently building 3 grant programs (with a target start date of late 2022):

    1) Grants to support collaborative projects between us and our partner organizations

    2) "Ad hoc" funding to meet smaller and more specific needs of our partner organizations on an ongoing basis.

    3) Follow-up funding to help sustain grants beyond initial the funding period.

  • There are 3 requirements that organizations must meet in order to receive grant funding:

    1. The organization must currently serve a consistent group of at least 15 children for at least 15 hours a week.

    2. The organization must have the objective of influencing the psychosocial and/or educational development of youth.

    3. The organization has experience collaborating with us prior to application.

Organizations will not necessarily need to have a 501(c)3 designation (or country equivalent) to receive grants, but organizations not meeting this qualification would have to provide their programs to children free of charge.

  • We anticipate that most of our grants will be awarded to current partner organizations. This requirement will give organizations a better opportunity to understand more about what it means to work with Tier 3.

In that respect, the first step for those interested in applying for grant funding would be to reach out to learn more about getting involved in general.

  • Organizations can apply for funding for any cost related to the implementation of a collaborative project, from financing existing staff salaries to the purchase of new curricula and the compensation of infrastructure costs (for example, rent). The funds must be spent according to the specifications of the award.

  • We anticipate sending requests for proposals to our existing partner organizations by the end of 2022 or early 2023. Organizations interested in receiving grants on that timeline should contact us as soon as possible for more information.

Currently, we are working with several organizations to build evidence of program efficacy, which we can then plan to use to solidify funding by the end of this year.
